Financial Accountant & Controller – 60-80% with scope for creativity and responsibility
Your role:
In this versatile position, you are responsible for all operational accounting. You ensure a precise data basis and are also responsible for budget preparation and conducting variance analyses.Your tasks:
Independent book-keeping: You manage the financial and accounts payable accounting, including payment transactions, and ensure correct and timely posting.
Financial statement security: You prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (according to the Swiss Code of Obligations or in the future according to IFRS) and are the main contact person for the auditors.
Personnel administration: You are responsible for creating and preparing all payroll-related reports, including analyses of payroll, social security and withholding taxes, and ensuring a smooth, timely process.
Reporting & Controlling: You will create periodic reports and analyse and support the cost center manager. You will actively shape the budgeting process and create liquidity plans, forecasts, and monthly target/actual comparisons for management.
Compliance & Grants: You will support the administrative processing of grant funding (e.g., Innosuisse/EU grants) and ensure VAT compliance. You will also be responsible for tax and levy declarations (VAT, tax on capital gains, share issuance).
Process optimization: You actively contribute to the optimization of processes and finance-related projects.
Your profile:
Education: Professional certificate in finance and accounting, studies with a focus on accounting or a comparable sound qualification.
Experience: Several years of practical experience in sole accounting, ideally in a startup, an SME or in the life sciences environment.
Interface competence: You value the exchange in a dynamic environment and enjoy working with others and in a team.
Software skills: Proficient use of accounting software (Abacus) and very good Excel skills.
Personality: You work in a highly structured, reliable, and independent manner, and you like to take on responsibility.
Languages: Fluent German and good English skills.
